Steven Spielberg's personal pair of sunglasses. Spielberg wore prescription glasses throughout most of his illustrious career, on film sets, at premieres, awards shows, and in his private life. Spielberg, one of the most famous and celebrated film directors in movie history, won three Academy Award® out of 23 nominations, including a record 13 nominations for Best Picture. Seven films were inducted into the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
These prescription sunglasses from circa the mid-1980s were originally gifted by Spielberg to one of his former staff members. These plastic tortoiseshell-pattern framed sunglasses feature wire arms and inset lenses with Spielberg's specific prescription. They are accompanied by a hard Giorgio Armani case, though all branding on the sunglasses themselves has worn off from regular wear.
