A Brain Manipulation Control Panel and Tower from Frank Oz's 2004 reboot of The Stepford Wives. In the film, Joanna Eberhart (Nicole Kidman) and her husband Walter Kresby (Matthew Broderick) move to the exclusive community of Stepford, where a group of husbands use high-tech brain manipulation to turn their wives into ideal, obedient housewives.
Towers like this one can be seen in a critical scene toward the end of the film in which Kresby, feeling guilty about brainwashing his wife, sneaks into the room that houses all of the computer equipment used to control the wives and uses these control panels to override the manipulation programming. The tower consists of an upright, cylindrical column of plywood painted a silver, metallic color. Approximately halfway up this tower is an elliptical control panel. The control panel is made from plastic resembles a digital touchscreen, with the background of the panel colored black while the touchscreen controls are colored a digital blue. When facing the front of the tower, the upright portion of the tower is attached to the far left side of a base that is similarly made of plywood painted the same metallic color.
The tower stands an impressive 84" x 42" (213cm x 106cm) and is in excellent, production-used condition. *Please note that due to the size of this item, special shipping will be required.
