A shooting script and handwritten notes from Phil Tippett’s science fiction action sequel Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation. Phil Tippett directed and produced this sequel to the 1997 science fiction cult classic Starship Troopers.

This shooting script is bound with brass fasteners in a red cover. The cover of the script reads ‘shooting script 5’03 Phil.’ Many of the 90 pages in this script are heavily annotated with Tippett’s notes from set. These notes include changes to dialogue, story, and hand-drawn storyboard sketches. Finally, over thirty pages of handwritten notes for the film are included in this lot. These notes by Tippett document his directing process as he made character choices like ‘MEDIC GRIFF - TAKES “CARE” OF WOUNDED,’ sketched out camera angles, and mapped out battles with notes like, ‘1ST BUG ATTACK A STRATEGY TO KILL THE RADIO GUY.’
