A Morita MK I rifle casing from Paul Verhoeven's sci-fi satire Starship Troopers. Recruited into the Earth Federation's Mobile Infantry, high schooler Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien) and his fellow troops were issued futuristic Morita combat rifles in their war with the Arachnids.

This rifle shell, which was used to cover a real blank-firing Ruger Mini-14 used for close-up sequences during production, is constructed of two pieces of fiberglass painted green, screwed together with metal screws around a black rubber magazine and muzzle, and marked "535" and "A4". The casing is in good overall condition with scuffing and minor discoloration throughout. Dimensions: 41" x 3 1/2" x 11 1/2" (104.25 cm x 9 cm x 29.25 cm)
