Five ‘Warrior Bug’ hand-drawn storyboards by Phil Tippett from Paul Verhoeven’s science fiction action film Starship Troopers. Several elaborate battles with bug armies were meticulously planned using storyboards throughout production. Phil Tippett is credited as Creature Visual Effects Supervisor for the film.Tippett was nominated for Best Visual Effects for his work on this film at the 70th Academy Awards^®.

These five storyboards depict a fight between troopers of the Mobile Infantry and Warrior Bugs. These storyboards are hand-drawn on sketch paper in pencil. Each storyboard is labeled with ‘TU’ and various numbers in relation to what part of their sequence they belong to.

Showing signs of wear from production use, including some tearing and folding, these storyboards are in overall good production used condition. Dimensions (each): 12” x 9” (30.5 cm x 23 cm)
