A light-up Horus guard head and costume from Roland Emmerich's Stargate. Horus guards wore distinctive armor as they protected the Lord Ra (Jaye Davidson) from the human slaves around the great pyramid on the planet Abydos. The helmets were later repurposed for Stargate SG-1.

Stargate was nominated for six awards and won six, including a Saturn Award® and a Universal Reader's Choice Award® for Best Science Fiction Film, and a Golden Screen Award®. The film launched an expansive franchise and is today considered a modern science-fiction classic.

This lot consists of a Horus headpiece made of self-skinning foam painted green to replicate the look of aged bronze; an off-white linen skirt marked "Jerry 2" with an attached black leather decorated belt; a pair of foam-rubber armbands; and a pair of brown leather strap sandals. The headpiece is decorated with ornate curved engravings, dark acrylic eyes, a pair of green leather tassels, and foam-beaded tassels hanging from two three-pronged leatherette fins attached to the upper neck by plastic earpieces. The acrylic eyes illuminate a red light when plugged in with the power cable lining the fiberglass and the power switch along the bottom edge.

Also included is a padded fiberglass replica of a shoulder collar added to complete the costume. This lot exhibits tearing to the foam tassels.
