MASTER REPLICAS (2001)
An early prototype for Master Replicas' Han Solo Blaster hand-made by a Hollywood propmaker and "weathered" to simulate age and usage. Among one of the first prototypes made for the blaster, this version differs in many ways from the final products released in 2002 and 2006. The design, modeled from an 1896 "broomhandle" Mauser, features the Denix SKA 221 logo as well as a see-through scope and battery-operated sound and light effects, although the trigger guard more closely matches the 2002 model. It also has different grip screws and metal circles above the grip, and lacks the numbers on the top dial that were present in both the 2002 and 2006 models. The number of moving parts had already been reduced by this stage as compared to the "as first built" prototype. Includes a letter detailing the history of this iconic weapon from a former Master Replicas executive.
Condition: Very good; minor wear from handling; functionality unknown.
