A replica of Anakin Skywalker’s (Jake Lloyd) Pod Racing helmet from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Created by the legendary Don Post Studios, this full-size wearable helmet was part of their “deluxe” range, created to accurately reproduce the on-screen appearance of characters from the lowly stormtrooper to main characters like R2-D2 and C-3PO. Don Post pieces were highly valued for their accuracy, with some of the range used for promotional purposes by Lucasfilm at various locations worldwide.
This particular helmet is a limited edition piece that never saw full production due to the loss of Don Post’s Star Wars reproduction licence, and is marked as number 1 in the production run on an engraved plaque affixed to the helmet’s rear. The helmet is made of metal, rubber and resin with a chamois leather hood built-in to cover the neck during wear. The metal goggles have acrylic lenses with a gold plastic rod running from the goggles to the helmet. The piece is finished in matt white, black, red and green with a metallic base layer and distressing applied to make the helmet appear hard-worn from its time in use in the Tattooine races. Foam pads are present internally for comfort during wear. The helmet is presented on a black Master Replicas base for display purposes.

Displaying some minor signs of wear from its time on display, the rod on the front of the helmet shows signs of repairs over time. However, in spite of this wear, the helmet remains in overall very good condition.
