A concept sketch of "The Imperial Stormtrooper" hand-drawn by Ralph McQuarrie for Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta's children's book The Mos Eisley Cantina Pop-Up Book. As the project's primary illustrator, renowned Star Wars franchise artist McQuarrie created multiple concept artworks featuring imperial stormtroopers, ultimately incorporating one into his "The Moisture Farmer" illustration.

This concept sketch featuring three angles of a stormtrooper on Tatooine in varying detail is rendered in graphite and red pencil on bordered vellum taped to backing board. This sketch is also featured on page 353 of the Abrams publication Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie. Both the tape and vellum exhibit yellowing from age. Dimensions: 18.25" x 12" (46.5 cm x 30.5 cm)
