A Resistance X-wing pilot costume and helmet from J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Resistance's X-Wing pilots, including Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), wore full-body suits and helmets while they endeavored to destroy the First Order's Starkiller Base by disabling its thermal oscillator.

While the uniformed pilot suits in The Force Awakens are heavily inspired by those worn by Skywalker and his allies in the franchise's original trilogy, they present some physical differences, such as the style and texture of the off-white vest, gloves, and boots.

The pilot suit comprises a size "54" polyester jumpsuit (hand-labeled "795") with a bandolier stitched around the right knee containing resin emergency signal flares; a padded nylon vest adorned with Resistance insignia imprints (hand-labeled "793"); a resin Freitek life support unit clipped to the front of the jumpsuit and connected to a ribbed rubber oxygen tube; a tough nylon Guidenhauser harness (hand-labeled "782"); padded leather flight gauntlets; and foam and rubber boots.

The helmet is made of resin and features an amber acrylic visor and a foam inner lining to enhance comfort for the wearer. "Sayed" is handwritten in black marker on a label adhered to the inside of the helmet. Multiple Resistance military insignias adorn the helmet, including the Older Cobalt Squadron logo, a Tierfon Red Aces sigil, and an Older Coalstreak Squadron stripe, all situated on the opaque visor positioned on the forehead. These insignias are all identified on page 61 of the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens The Visual Dictionary' book. Another Tierfon Red Aces sigil is attached to the helmet's right ear.

The helmet has been intentionally distressed to appear battle-worn and, therefore, congruous with the under-resourced yet dogged look that characterized both the Resistance and the Rebel Alliance. The design amplifies the contrast between the Resistance's shabby uniforms and the pristine attire worn by the First Order. This juxtaposition highlights the hierarchical roles of the two organizations in the conflict, that of the oppressed underdog versus the well-funded tyrant, and the power disparities between them.

The helmet exhibits a vertical crack in the opaque visor.
