A First Order snowtrooper helmet from J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Snowtroopers were deployed on the First Order's Starkiller Base and stood for General Hux's (Domhnall Gleeson) speech heralding the devastating debut of the First Order's new star-destroying super-weapon. Helmet-clad snowtroopers also made an appearance in the 2017 sequel, The Last Jedi.
The highly anticipated seventh film in the Skywalker Saga and the first in the sequel trilogy, The Force Awakens remains the most expensive film ever made, with a budget of $447 million. However, it grossed more than $2.07 billion worldwide, breaking box-office records and earning five Academy Award® nominations.
Based on a design by legendary artist Ralph McQuarrie for the original trilogy, the First Order snowtrooper's helmet is reminiscent of those worn by their Galactic Empire predecessors. Made primarily of white cast polyurethane, it features two silver-colored vent pieces at the bottom of the face, with black stripes applied down the sides and around the back. Its interior is foam-lined for the wearer's comfort. The helmet has been intentionally distressed and dirtied to appear battle-worn, and should be handled with care, as the intentional distressing can be removed accidentally.
