A production-made B-Wing pilot helmet with a chest box from Richard Marquand's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. B-Wing fighter pilots of the Rebel Alliance wore their distinctive helmets and chest boxes during the climactic Battle of Endor as they attempted to destroy the second Death Star.

For the final installment of the original Star Wars trilogy, two new Rebel starfighters - the A-Wing and B-Wing - were introduced, bringing the total to four distinct fighter types, each with a unique pilot uniform. Costume designer Nilo Rodis-Jamero assigned specific colors to differentiate the pilots on screen, with B-Wing pilots in red jumpsuits. Each outfit consisted of a coverall jumpsuit, a chest pack based on the Rebel pilot design for A New Hope, and a newly created helmet. The B-Wing helmet design was intentionally sleeker, resembling a communication headset rather than a protective flight helmet. Each helmet was individually distressed and decorated with unique insignia, and worn with a cloth flight cap that covered the exposed top of the head.

This helmet was originally built during production but was unfinished and unused during filming. Some of the paintwork was likely applied during production, with additional paint detailing completed after production. The helmet is constructed of vacuum-formed plastic painted predominantly green, white and red, with line decals, a black leatherette trim, loose wiring connected to a metal plug, and a prop microphone. Black nylon webbing secures a white plastic chin cup. The vacuum-formed plastic chest box features similar line decals and is detailed with faux electronic greeblie components and two black wires. The helmet and chest box are presented on a custom-made display.
