A concept sketch hand-drawn by posterist Tim Reamer for a style "A" one-sheet for Richard Marquand's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. One-sheets featuring Reamer and Paykos Phior's final artwork of a blue lightsaber raised with two hands-modeled after George Lucas' hands-were the first posters distributed to promote the film's international theatrical release. This earlier sketch featured only one hand on the lightsaber as well as additional characters such as Hans Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) that were later excised from the final composition.

This concept sketch for the one-sheet is rendered in mixed media on graphite-bordered vellum. Also included is a rare printed black-and-white copy of an alternate, unpublished comp poster design featuring two hands on a lightsaber, though the final poster itself is not included. The sketch exhibits tearing on its bottom right corner and edges. Dimensions: 14" x 17" (35.5 cm x 43.25 cm)
