Design sketch for a speeder bike and Scout Trooper in a similar form to the final film; the sketch is loose and conveys a high-energy style to the design process. Rodis-Jamero sometimes puts down a lot of linework in the process of finding something. The piece is signed and dated by Nilo Rodis-Jamero.

Nilo Rodis-Jamero was credited as costume designer on Return of the Jedi but also served as a visual effects art director. He contributed designs and drawings on many elements of the film, including the speeder bike.

About The Artist:
Nilo Rodis-Jamero designed cars and tanks prior to being hired by George Lucas for The Empire Strikes Back. As assistant VFX art director, Rodis-Jamero contributed to numerous designs for the film. On Return of the Jedi, Rodis-Jamero did many early concept designs alongside Ralph McQuarrie and Joe Johnston before focusing on costume design (credited costume designer on the film) and visual effects art direction.
He worked as an art director at ILM throughout the 1980s before transitioning into producing and other areas of the entertainment industry. “I haven’t entered this world since I worked on the films. Pen and paper sketches are such a blast—a tightrope walk without the net. Ideas either work or do not, there are no undo or delete keys,” he says.
