A high-quality replica of a Red Three X-wing starfighter model miniature from the production of George Lucas' original Star Wars trilogy. First introduced in A New Hope, Red Three and its pilot Biggs Darklighter (Garrick Hagon) were shot down by Darth Vader (David Prowse) in the Battle of Yavin. The beloved call sign was later reused as part of a squad of X-wings commanded by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) after the Battle of Hoth.
This ornately detailed studio-scale (1:24) replica is kit-bashed from resin and painted by renowned custom replica-maker Rossi Replicas to resemble the original Red Three miniature preserved in the Lucasfilm Archives. Also included is a custom display base designed to resemble the surface of the Death Star and equipped with AC-powered display lights on each side. The model is intentionally distressed with applied soot, grime, and discoloration to appear well-flown. The stand is cracked at its top joint and leaning to one side as a result, while the starfighter also remains fragile and should be handled with caution.
