A framed Krayt dragon fragment from Geroge Lucas’s 1977 Star Wars film A New Hope.

The greater Krayt dragons inhabited a desert planet called Tatooine. C-3PO discovered a huge skeleton of a deceased Krayt Dragon whilst lost in the Dune Sea on Tatooine after he and R2-D2 evaded the imperial forces in an escape pod. This fibreglass fragment was taken from the full skeleton; originally, a replica sauropod skeleton built for the 1975 Disney comedy One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing. After being reported for A New Hope, it was left behind in the Tunisian desert and later rediscovered untouched and intact by archaeologist and Star Wars fan Dr. David Reynolds in 1995.

The fragment comes present in a custom laser-cut framed display featuring the film's iconic logo and a still from the film. It remains in excellent condition.
