Facilities Refurbishment Cost Sheet

Stock #60914

A production-used cost breakdown from the production of the second of the original Star Wars trilogy, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

Prior to filming at Elstree Studios, it became clear to the production that renovations were needed to various facilities to meet the needs of the future blockbuster. The production undertook a number of renovations to departmental buildings and offices to bring them up to spec, at their own cost. This sheet, a filing copy from the records of EMI Studios Elstree, contains a breakdown of the costs of the refurbishment at Elstree, covering renovations for the make-up, special effects and art departments, as well as the directors offices and prop shops. The piece is dated 15th of February 1979.

Lightly used, the document remains in very good condition with only minor creases present at the edges.
