A signed production storyboard from Irvin Kershner's 1980 classic, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. After the original storyboard was approved, copies were made and distributed to the various department heads during pre-production.
The storyboard presents a moment in the battle on Hoth, as the AT-AT Walker prepares to fire upon the Rebel's power generator.
The production used copy has a printed description beneath the illustration, which reads 'INT. WALKER COCKPIT - OVS Veers & pilots. Power Generators in distance'. It is printed on grey US Legal-sized paper and is hole-punched at the top, indicating that it would have been held together in sequence with the rest of the storyboard pages. This storyboard is signed by special visual effects artist Brian Johnson.
This is an original production storyboards, so the scene depicted appears slightly differently in the final cut of the movie. In the final cut you cannot see the generator through the windscreen as drawn.
The storyboard comes beautifully presented in a custom built frame with laser-cut mount board featuring the classic movie title. The display is in excellent condition.
