An over-sized reference piece of the Death Star model made for the George Lucas' first entry in the Star Wars saga, Episode IV: A New Hope. This surface was created at Industrial Light and Magic and was used by the computer graphics specialist tasked with creating digital imagery for the Rebel briefing session prior to the epic finale. The piece is finished traditional Death Star gray color and is made from biscuit foam, as were all Death Star surface pieces on the first film. This large surface square shows large interlocking shapes that appear futuristic and abstract.
This piece displays minor wear due to age and storage, with small scuffs to the paint and foam throughout, however it remains in overall very good condition.
