Star Wars - Ep IV - A New Hope

John Mollo Post-Production Obi Wan Costume Design

Stock #110279

”I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.”

A printed pen-and-watercolour design by John Mollo, costume designer on George Lucas’ 1977 space opera Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

The Imperial Forces hold Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) hostage, in their efforts to quell the rebellion against the Galactic Empire. Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford), captain of the Millennium Falcon, band together with R2-D2 (Kenny Baker) and C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) to rescue her.

This drawing was originally watercolour, outlined with pen, and is printed on white paper. It shows Obi Wan and his costume in full-length, with a glimpse of his lightsaber behind his robe. This item is in very good condition, with no visible signs of age or storage, although there is slight shadowing, at the top and bottom of the image, from the printing process.
