A limited-edition light-up R2-D2 statue display based on George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. Created by the legendary Don Post Studios in 1998, full-size statues were modeled closely on original components from the Lucasfilm Archive.

This statue is made of fiberglass, with some metal embellishments and braided copper-color hosing attached around the feet. The dome includes multiple lights which are activated via a switch on a wired plug made for a U.S. outlet. The droid is presented on its original gray display base, which features a Don Post presentation plaque marked with the number "042." The statue exhibits light wear, including signs of sympathetic repair where a small vent flap had previously broken off . Dimensions: (displayed) 48" x 40" x 37" (122 cm x 101.75 cm x 94 cm)
