A preliminary drawing hand-drawn by Ralph McQuarrie for his "Fighters low over Death Star" production illustration for George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. Production illustrator McQuarrie completed the final illustration depicting the Rebels' bombardment of the Death Star's surface on November 11, 1975.

This drawing is rendered in graphite across two sheets of bordered vellum taped together. The top sheet is labelled "S.W." and "9," and signed "from a drwg. by Joe Johnston" by McQuarrie.

This drawing is also featured on page 120 of the Abrams publication Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie. The vellum exhibits mild discolouration and creasing. Dimensions: 47 cm x 26.75 cm (18.5" x 10.5")
