A fourth draft script from George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. The script features a header on page 1 for "The Adventures of Luke Starkiller as taken from the 'Journal of the Whills' by George Lucas."

Lucas was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Writing Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen and won a Saturn Award for Best Writing. Lucas was also nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Comedy Written Directly for the Screen.

This 145-page script, fourth draft dated "January 1, 1976," is marked "R Bird." It is secured with metal binder clips and stickered on the front with an early Ralph McQuarrie production logo for "The Star Wars." This script exhibits various signs of wear and handling throughout, including discolouration. Dimensions: 28 cm x 23 cm x 2.5 cm (11" x 9" x 1")
