A full-colour transparency of Tom Jung's instantly recognisable artwork from George Lucas' epic space fantasy Star Wars: A New Hope (1977). This transparency would have been used in the production of the Style A poster campaign for the film. Displaying incredible detail and vibrant colour, this version features the addition of the Droids R2-D2 and C-3PO by artist Nick Cardy. These were added after the Fox marketing department wanted to include them due to their popularity at the preview test screenings. Serious Star Wars fans may never have another opportunity to add such a scarce and important piece to their collection. This was originally given to artist Tom Chantrell by Fox's marketing as an example for reference of what style not to use or copy as they wanted him to create (which he did with his successful Style C design) a Star Wars poster with commercial appeal to match the merchandising.
