A piece of the Death Star model used in the original 1977 Star Wars film Episode IV: A New Hope. Pieces such of this were part of a large model set which was used in the film’s epic finale as the forces of the Rebel Alliance attacked the Imperial Death Star from their base on the moon of Yavin.
Made of biscuit foam with a grey paint finish, this panel is a “dual” piece that contains two squares. Many interlocking abstract pieces were made, painted and detailed to the high standard that ILM are now renowned for.

This piece comes presented in a stunning display featuring a laser-cut mount board with the film’s title and a description of the piece with production stills. An acrylic cover completes this display. This item remains in very good condition.
