A USS Voyager concept model miniature from the television series Star Trek: Voyager. Designed and built by Rick Sternbach, production used concept models such as this to study how the starships would look in three dimensions. Prototype models such as this were made specifically as mockups and contained numerous details that may or may not have made it into the final design choice.

Star Trek: Voyager, which followed the crew of the titular vessel as they journeyed home from the Delta Quadrant, received 33 Emmy Award® nominations throughout its run and won seven, including multiple awards for visual effects. Kate Mulgrew was also the first female lead to appear within the Star Trek franchise.

This model miniature is composed of foam core and polyester putty. Painted a gray-blue color with various decals to mimic the viewports on starships, this prototype features a more angular design with long warp nacelles. Also included is a custom-built display with six pegs, as well as a 4" x 6" (10 cm x 15 cm) behind-the-scenes photograph. This lot exhibits cracks, chipped paint, and lifted adhesive on the decals. Dimensions: 50" x 15" x 8" (127 cm x 38 cm x 20.25 cm)
