A Master Replica tricorder from the original Star Trek trilogy.

Tricorders were used by the U.S.S. Enterprise’s crew to view intel, receive alerts, scan the surrounding area for extra-terrestrial life and more. Made by Master Replicas, this tricorder features a top compartment that flips open to reveal a screen beside a speaker, three lights and three buttons that can be pressed to simulate some of the tricorder’s functions. The first button illuminates the display screen, the second mobilises the moiré circle display found in the compartment below beside a cylinder of data storage discs, and the third activates the warbling sound effect from the original show. The tricorder can perform such functions when six AAA batteries are inserted into the removable panel at its rear. A final compartment designed for storage is found at the bottom of the tricorder.

The panelling of the tricorder is made from texturised plastic, with side plating and compartment handles consisting of metal. The tricorder also features a leather strap that allows it to be worn across the body as they were in the show. There is some minor scuffing on the lower back of the tricorder. Overall, the tricorder is in very good condition.
