Starfleet medical scrubs, a Class-D jumpsuit and a two-piece Class-A uniform from Robert Wise's Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The USS Enterprise crew wore their uniforms as they performed their duties in the background of scenes, and the range of different uniforms was seen when Captain Kirk (William Shatner) addressed the crew about the mysterious energy cloud.
The medical scrubs feature an off-white top, matching pants, and a replica Starfleet medical caduceus. A green undershirt has been added to complete the costume. The scrubs were altered after The Motion Picture and reused for Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan. The costume has a production label upon which "Brenda Gooch" is handwritten.
The Class-D jumpsuit was worn by USS petty officers. It is tan-coloured and features a zipper up the back. It is hand-labeled "Aurther Lack" and "Mens 40" on a pair of interior Western Costume Co. labels. The jumpsuit was also worn by stuntman and stand-in John McKnight in costume test photos from the start of production.
The two-piece Class-A uniform features matching jackets and pants, an original plastic bio-monitoring belt buckle, and replica vintage patches. It is hand-labeled "Lisa Chess," who played the role of "Yeoman" in the transporter room. Chess did not appear in the theatrical release of the film, however, the character did later appear in the longer TV version.
The uniforms were redesigned from the original series of Star Trek by costume designer Robert Fletcher, with the aim of making them more believable for the big screen.
They are accompanied by certificates of authenticity from the original "It's A Wrap" auction.
