Commander Pavel Chekov's (Walter Koenig) screen-matched, light-up photon collector from Leonard Nimoy's Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Chekov snuck aboard the nuclear-powered naval vessel, Enterprise, to collect photon particles from the reactor to repair the dilithium crystals aboard the Klingon Bird of Prey, the HMS Bounty. This device screen-matches based on paint wear and the backlighting pattern under the red indicator.

This photon collector is one of three built for the film by renowned prop maker Richard Coyle, who referred to it internally as a "Power Leach." Constructed from resin, it features a pair of illuminating front panels and red lights activated via switch on the back. A dial changes the speed of the blinking lights at the front, as well as the intensity of the light, to demonstrate the collection of the photons. The Leach features an additional hand-marked "A" in black on the back and exhibits chipped paint from production use and age. Dimensions: 30.5 cm x 11 cm x 7.75 cm (12" x 4.5" x 3")
