A light-up studio-scale refit USS Enterprise NCC-1701 signature series model miniature replica from Leonard Nimoy's Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home created by former Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) modelmaker John Eblan. Eblan, who also worked with ILM on Star Wars Episode I, created several studio-scale model miniature replicas of the various ships throughout Star Trek Under the banner of his company: The FX Company. Based on Star Trek by Gene Roddenberry that followed the crew of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 starship as they explored space, six films followed the series that eventually spawned new series such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and more. In Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, the Enterprise was destroyed and recreated as the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A, setting precedence for future refitted models.

This lot consists of a resin coated fiberglass model miniature created at studio scale size with vinyl decals and LED light ports to simulate windows. Powered by an AC adapter, this replica comes mounted to a black display base. This lot exhibits a chipped base. Dimensions: 40" x 15" x 29" (101.75 cm x 38.25 cm x 73.75 cm)
