Captain Scott's (James Doohan) screen-matched maroon Starfleet uniform from Leonard Nimoy's Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. "Scotty" wore his double-breasted, military-cut maroon uniform, which first appeared in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, throughout the film.

While a Western Costume Co. labeled for "James Doohan" and production number "2795-2" demonstrates that this costume's jacket was made for The Voyage Home, it is also tagged "Star Trek VII: J. Doohan," suggesting it was worn in later films in the franchise. Indeed, creasing and stitching on the gold-color right shoulder strap screen-matches it to the beginning of Star Trek: Generations, when Scotty was aboard the new USS Enterprise-B with James Kirk (William Shatner) and Pavel Chekov (Walter Koenig).

This uniform consists of a maroon jacket with snap fastening closures on front, a Starfleet insignia on the left breast, and Scott's rank badge on the strap; black trousers with elastic suspenders and stirrups labeled "James Doohan" on two different labels; and a black leather belt with a metal Starfleet buckle. It exhibits stains on the interior and some fraying throughout the fabric.
