Joachim's (Judson Scott) Wire Necklace from Nicholas Meyer's 1982 film, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. In the film, the genetically enhanced tyrant Khan Noonien Singh (Ricardo Montalbán) escapes from exile and plots his revenge against Admiral James T. Kirk (William Shatner) and the crew of the starship USS Enterprise. Having been marooned alongside the crew of the SS Botany Bay on Ceti Alpha V for fifteen years, Khan and his crew of augmented humans wear clothing and accessories that consist of many found items and scrap electronics. Joachim, who operated the helm of the USS Reliant, can be seen wearing this necklace throughout the film.
Joachim's necklace consists of six interwoven wire cables that are bound together at the base and threaded through a metal component. The cables have been textured with paint to appear aged and worn with a series of exposed wires protruding from the bottom of the necklace. This item features minor wear from production use and age (see photos) however it remains in remarkably good condition.
