A light-up Husnock starship model miniature redressed for appearances in multiple alien fleets across the Star Trek franchise. In The Next Generation Season 3 episode "The Survivors," the Enterprise-D crew responded to a distress call from a Federation colony and while they investigated, were toyed with by an unknown spacecraft that eventually was revealed to be an illusion to draw them away from the planet.
Appearing in more than 20 episodes across The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise, this ship was originally created as a Husnock ship, then later modified by model makers throughout the years to appear as various other alien ships - more often than any other repurposed model miniature from the franchise. Other noteworthy episodes a model like this appeared in were "The Most Toys," "Half a Life," "Silicone Avatar," and "Unification 1" in Star Trek: The Next Generation; "A Man Alone," "Shadowplay," "Rules of Engagement," and "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine; and "Ex Post Facto" and "Warlord" in Star Trek: Voyager. This model miniature is painted as a Numiri patrol ship from "Ex Post Facto."
This triangular fiberglass ship features an internal metal armature, styrene greeblie detailing throughout the hull, and acrylic light caps. Originally painted gray, it has also been finished with various layers of brown, dark gray, and dark periwinkle paint. The model features several different electronic lighting systems, some of which are currently functional along with others which are currently nonfunctional. It has a set of wiring that extends through an unthreaded production-cut hole in the bottom of the model and passes through a hollow metal tube with tags hand-marked for the various voltages such as "9V" and "12V." Neither the functional nor the nonfunctional systems currently feature a control system.
Also included with the model is an additional metal bar, a wooden dowel with a scorched end, and a small black plastic disk. This lot also includes a display base. This lot exhibits scratches to the finish of the model, as well as a buildup of grime. Dimensions: 26" x 14" x 7" (66 cm x 35.5 cm x 18 cm)
