Jean-Luc Picard's (Patrick Stewart) PADD from the production of Jonathan Frakes’ 1996 film Star Trek: First Contact.
The evil Borg travel back in time with the intention of preventing Earth’s first contact with an alien species. Captain Picard and the rest of the Enterprise crew pursue them to ensure that Zefram Cochran (James Cromwell) makes his maiden warp speed flight.
This PADD, or Personal Access Display Device, was made for the production to be as set dressing on Picard’s ready room table, although it did not obviously make it onscreen during the final cut of the film. The item is predominantly made of thick acrylic and metal, with buttons made from foil and paper. A printed display has been stuck to it to make it look more realistic.
The piece shows some wear from production use and age, including some scuffs and scratches. Some of the thin paper which snakes around the metal covering has torn, leaving it loose. Despite this the piece remains in a good condition.
Materials: Acrylic, Ferrous Metals, Paper.
This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.
