A Lieutenant Commander-rank Starfleet science badge from the series Star Trek: Discovery. From Seasons 1 through 3, Starfleet lieutenant commanders in the science division wore badges modeled on the pip-ranking style first introduced in Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek: The Original Series while they served aboard the USS Discovery, Shenzhou, and other vessels.

This silver-colour, delta-shaped 23rd century-style metal badge features two pips and one hole (lieutenant commander rank), an overlapping oval symbol (science division), and a magnetic backing. It exhibits minor wear to the finish. Dimensions: 7.75 cm x 5.25 cm x 1.5 cm (3" x 2" x 0.5")
