A Romulan disruptor pistol from J. J. Abrams' Star Trek. Romulan captain Nero (Eric Bana) and his crew Romulans wielded disruptors as their standard-issue sidearms during their attacks on Starfleet.
Romulan disruptors were first introduced in the classic Star Trek: The Original Series episode "The Enterprise Incident." Since then, they have become the signature weapon of one of Starfleet's most formidable enemies, with updated iterations seen across the franchise. For Abrams' film, the pistols were further redesigned to appear more dangerous and serpentine in keeping with the aliens' vengeful mission against the crew of the Enterprise.
This custom, static weapon is constructed from machined aluminum and cast resin. It is hand-painted in shades of gold and silver with a decorative, snake-like coil around the barrel. The pistol shows evidence of intentional production distressing together with wear consistent with on-set use, handling, and age. Dimensions: 14.75" x 1.75" x 6.25" (37.5 cm x 4.5 cm x 16 cm)
