A Roman legionary galea helmet from Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus. Roman legionaries wore their galeae while oppressing Spartacus (Kirk Douglas) and other slaves during their rebellion against Rome.

This lot consists of a brown leather and bronze-color metal helmet with a hinged metal visor featuring a floral pattern, metal ear flaps, and a red bristle crest. The inside of the helmet is hand-marked "XX" and "3/8." The helmet exhibits wear from use and age, including discoloration, pulled threads, a loose crest with fraying bristles, missing and loose metal studs and pins, a metal edge loosening from the leather, and broken ear flaps with signs of previously being soldered to the helmet.
