This eye-catching full-bleed French poster is much more dynamic and visually appealing than most of the film's U.S. posters. It showcases outstanding imagery of star Kirk Douglas and leading lady Jean Simmons. This particular example has been professionally linen-backed, with only minimal spot touch-ups to the folds and repair work to address pinholes, a tear, and a small chip on the lower border. The rich red background shows no signs of fading, making it a magnificent display piece from this classic film.

"Spartacus" is an epic historical drama directed by Stanley Kubrick, starring Kirk Douglas as a slave leading a Roman rebellion. Adapted by blacklisted writer Dalton Trumbo from Howard Fast's novel, it also features Laurence Olivier, Charles Laughton, Peter Ustinov, Jean Simmons, John Gavin, and Tony Curtis. The film ended Hollywood blacklisting by publicly crediting Trumbo, won four Oscars-including Ustinov's Best Supporting Actor-and became Universal's highest-grossing film at the time.
