A dagger used in the acclaimed Starz TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The first season of the show delves into the past of the Greek soldier-turned-slave Spartacus (Andy Whitfield) as he goes from pariah to hero of the Capuan arena in the ludus of Batiatus (John Hannah), and the ludus’ eventual downfall at Spartacus’ hands.
This dagger was used by the titular character as he planned his escape from the ludus with his wife Sura (Erin Cummings). Acquired from the son of a local magistrate, the Thracian dagger was ultimately given to Batiatus after Sura's death.

Made of metal, this hero version of the dagger features a distressed metal blade with blunted edges to prevent injury during use on the production. The grip has a wood effect finish with the three “notches” Spartacus describes in the episode “Delicate Things”. Displaying some minor wear to the blade and grip from use, the dagger remains in overall very good condition.
