A gladiator fish shield from the Starz historical series Spartacus. Gladiators wielded shields painted with various sacred animals as they fought to the death throughout the series.

This shield is constructed from panelled, wood-backed fibreglass hand-painted brown with four fish designs on the front and metal studs around the edges. The reverse is affixed with both leather and metal arm straps, as well as one foam pad. The shield is distressed by production to appear battle-damaged with scratches, cuts, and small punctures throughout the front. Dimensions: 92.5 cm x 51 cm x 1.5 cm (36.5" x 20" x 0.5")
