A Yogurt doll display from Mel Brooks' 1987 sci-fi spoof, Spaceballs. In this parody of Star Wars, Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) and his sidekick Barf (John Candy) must protect Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) when Lord Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis) is dispatched to steal her planet's air supply.
The doll is comprised of an original casting and is filled with low density urethane and has latex skin. Both the head and hands are crafted from the original molds, with the hands featuring wire armatures to allow positioning. The robe is made of green velvet fabric with gold piping and waist cord. Both the robe and slippers were meticulously recreated to match the look and materials used for Yogurt in the film. Fixed to Yogurt's right hand is a cane made of Manzanita hardwood.
The doll is displayed on a custom-made riser featuring steel tubing to secure a wooden cap, which contains LED lights mounted within. The lights are powered with a 12 volt power supply included with the base. The display shows minimal signs of wear and remains in excellent condition.
