A clapperboard from the production of Alfred Gough and Miles Millar's Smallville. In the Season 6 episode "Static," Clark Kent (Tom Welling) hunted Phantom Zone criminal Alder (Dave Bautista) to Seattle and had his first meeting with John Jones (Phil Morris), the Martian Manhunter.
"Static" is today considered a landmark episode both for introducing classic DC Comics character J'onn J'onzz into the series as well as featuring the first credited acting role for former World Heavyweight Champion wrestler Bautista. Season 6 as a whole was among the series' most acclaimed, earning the prestigious Leo Award® - British Columbia's awards program for film and television - for Best Dramatic Series as well as a Saturn Award® nomination for Best Network Television Series.
This acrylic clapperboard with a striped slate is labeled for "Smallville Season VI," camera roll "A," director "James Conway," and director of photography "Glen Winter." In a unique misprint, it is also incorrectly labeled for episode "#709 Static," though it ultimately aired as the ninth episode of Season 6 (609).
