A revised screenplay with call sheet from Jack Starrett’s 1976 crime adventure film, A Small Town in Texas. The movie tells the story of a crooked sheriff (Bo Hopkins) in a small southern town who frames an ex-convict (Timothy Bottoms) in a drug bust and takes his girlfriend (Susan George).
This 116 page script includes a title page listing the title of the film as “The Town.” The script is dated 12/18/75 and lists the writers as William Norton, Bryan Gindoff, and Bruce Henstell. There are notes written throughout the pages of the script with dialogue circled, crossed out, and arrows drawn to move dialogue around. The script also include olive green cover and back pages. The pages are all three hole punched and secured in a black plastic 3-ring binder. Tucked into one of the pockets of the binder is a call sheet from the production. The call sheet still lists the movie as “The Town” and includes the date, 1/9/76, location Kyle, Texas, who is needed that day, mode of transportation, and which equipment will be needed.
This item features some wear from production use and age, including some tears and discoloration, but remains in overall good condition.
