An original hand-painted production cel of Homer dancing in church from season nine episode four "Treehouse of Horror VIII".

The cel is from the segment "The HΩmega Man" in which Mayor Quimby makes a racist joke about frog's legs angering France who, in turn, launch a bomb directly at Springfield. Homer, who happened to be browsing for bomb shelters at the time, is seemingly the only survivor and decides he can do whatever he wants. In this case it's dancing naked in a church to Edwin Star's "War" (What is it Good For?). Homer eventually discovers his family also survived the blast due to many many layers of lead paint covering the house.

​​"Treehouse of Horror" episodes have for years been favourites among collectors, cherished for their blend of horror pastiche and the show's signature humour. These episodes often push boundaries visually and comedically, resulting in especially memorable scenes

Very few animation cels were ever released from "Treehouse" episodes, and particular moments featuring Homer (especially naked) arguably the show's most beloved character are often the most highly prized.
