Silver Streak

Second Unit Clapperboard

Stock #136665

A second unit clapperboard from the production of Arthur Hiller's comedy thriller Silver Streak. Second unit director Max Kleven and his crew used their clapperboard to mark takes.

The clapperboard is made of pressed wood and features a metal-hinged red and black striped wooden clapper, a white adhesive face with black printed labels, Velcro® strips for the "Slate", "Take", and "Roll" information, and dozens of spare Velcro® numbers and letters on the back of the board. The scene information is handwritten on white gaffer tape and includes the film's title, director, cameraman, production company, and the date "April 20th, 1976". The clapperboard is in good overall condition with some wear from use and age, including yellowing to most of the white elements, adhesive residue and pulling on the tape, edge wear along the outside of the board, and some cracking in the wood clapper.
