John Keenan's (Cliff Potts) costume from the production of Douglas Trumbull's Silent Running. Keenan wore his costume when he raced in carts against Andy Wolf (Jesse Vint) and Marty Barker (Ron Rifkin) through Freeman Lowell's (Bruce Dern) agriculture pod and as Lowell fought against him for the safety of his agriculture pod. This jumpsuit costume was made for production but ultimately unused in the final cut, as the jumpsuit Keenan wore was cut at the sleeves to make them shorter.
This lot comes from the collection of the director and special photographic effects artist Douglas Trumbull. It consists of a red synthetics and nylon Bogner jumpsuit (Size 44); and a red satin scarf. This jumpsuit exhibits broken pull tabs on the zippers, as well as a missing cuff on the left sleeve resulting in frayed material.
