An original crocodile head used in the 2009 comedy Shorts. After finding a magical wishing stone, three friends lose the stone by dropping it over a cliff and into a lake. Attempting to retrieve the stone, they are attacked by crocodiles in the lake. This crocodile head was used for the close up shot where the magical stone lands into a croc's mouth, and was used by production in place a of real crocodile for the safety of the actors.
This piece is made fiberglass with a foam latex exterior, and features opening and closing mouth that is operated by moving two mechanical rods in the back of the neck. Hard rubber teeth and a very detailed paint scheme are also present for added realism. Showing minimal signs of wear from use and storage, this piece is in overall great condition.
