A rare EMI New Zealand 7" vinyl promo pressing of the Sex Pistols single "Anarchy in the U.K.", released under EMI Records in November 1976. This record is one of a small number made and distributed to radio and TV stations.

Despite being banned from the radio and receiving several negative reviews, the song reached number 38 on the UK charts before being withdrawn by EMI due to the band's negative publicity. Indeed, they were signed to EMI for only three months, eventually being dropped by the label after swearing on live television during their infamous appearance on the television show Today with Bill Grundy.

The vinyl, which also features the B-side "I Wanna Be Me", comes in a red EMI sleeve; it was originally issued in a plain black sleeve. It was reissued with the standard EMI sleeve only after initial copies miscredited the production of the B-side to Chris Thomas, rather than Dave Goodman. Dimensions: 21.5 cm x 21.5 cm (8.5" x 8.5")
