An original Ghostface mask used in the production of the 2011 Wes Craven sequel Scream 4. The film sees the return of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), who returns to her hometown – the site of the original Woodsboro murders – as part of a book promotion tour. The return of the Ghostface killer on the fifteenth anniversary of the killings leaves Sidney once again in peril.
Based on Edvard Munch's famous painting “The Scream”, the Ghostface killer costume has been synonymous with the horror series since the very first Scream movie premiered in 1996. The hood and rubber mask, like many other pieces from this recent revamp of the series, are essentially 'shop-bought' versions of the costume as it became a popular choice for Halloween costumes and readily available for the production to acquire. It differs in several ways to the hero robes worn by the killer which were created from a glittery material to give a sinister sheen. The robe, also included, has no inbuilt gloves and the 'frayed' look is less bespoke, all suggesting it was worn for distance shots or by a die hard 'Stab-a-thon' fan.

Featuring some minor wear from use on the production, this instantly recognisable set remains in good condition and is presented in a stunning bespoke framed display featuring the film’s title artwork, stills from the film and an opening front panel allowing direct access to the piece.
