A Wes Craven-autographed production-made Ghostface mask from Wes Craven's Scream 4. Killers wearing Ghostface masks tormented and murdered the residents of Woodsboro.
While the initial Scream trilogy was lauded for its role in meta commentary in slasher genre and film remakes, Scream 4 provided commentary on the use of social media and internet fame, which boomed in popularity since the release of Scream 3. Scream 4 was also director Craven's final film before his passing in 2015.
Masks like these were produced by FunWorld just for production. They were made with higher quality materials, had a matte finish for filming, and were tagged at the factory as they would any other mask, sent to set. The remaining masks after production wrapped were autographed by Craven and given out to select cast and crew, while a handful were sent back to FunWorld, who later gave them away to fans. They were never sold or made available to consumers.
Originating from a crew member, this black-and-white rubber Easter Unlimited, Inc. mask has an attached rayon hood with two front-side tassels and black mesh on the eyes. "Easter Unlimited, Inc." and "Made in China (MK)" are debossed on the backside of the long chin. It features Wes Craven's autograph on the forehead. This mask exhibits discoloration and ink bleed from the autograph. Dimensions: 14.5" x 8.5" x 3" (37 cm x 21.75 cm x 7.75 cm)
